Abstract

Rice is a very important commodity for Indonesian people, both as a staple food and as a strategic commodity. The aim of this research is to: (1). Describe the marketing functions carried out by retailers at the Keranas Market, Pangkalpinang City; and (2). Analyzing the margins and profits obtained by retailers at the Keranas Market, Pangkalpinang City. The research was carried out at the Keranas Pangkalpinang Market in September-November 2023. This research used the case study method. The sampling method in this research is purposive sampling. The results of the analysis show that the marketing margin for Toboali rice in the Keranas Pangandang market from farmers to retailers reaches IDR. 2,500/kg for brown rice and Rp. 1,500/kg for white rice. The selling price of red rice at the farmer level is Rp. 14,500/kg, while at the retailer level, it reaches Rp. 17,000/kg. Meanwhile, the selling price of white rice at the farmer level is IDR. 12,500/kg, and at the retailer level, the price is Rp. 14,000/kg. The marketing profit obtained by Toboali rice retailers at the Keranas market in Pangalpinang is IDR. 1,650 for brown rice and Rp. 650 for white rice.
